Chapter one...

About 90 days ago we started our first BeachBody fitness challenge. If you had told us a year ago we would be doing this... I would have laughed...
Why?

I would have told you I have had 5 kids..
Courtney would have said he is too busy with work.
We both would have told you that it wasn't for us...we had our own thing going on.
You know... The occasional run, the attempt to eat well during the week spoiled by the weekend binges...The " I'll do it later" or " I'm older now, my body can't do that any more".

I saw beach body as a company that promoted happiness with a six pack of abs... And a Brazilian butt lift :) (boy was I wrong!)

But thanks to the example & witness of two good friends involved in the challenge groups, programs, and business we said... What the heck... Lets give it a try...

After 30 days... I didn't see much change. Neither did Courtney. Not because it wasn't happening... More so because my negative self image has very much trained what my eyes see in the mirror... As well as the hubs...
After days 60 I was excited to finish up the Les Mils combat set... And feel stronger... And see some improvements in tone... Which is exciting !

Now that day 90 has passed I am excited and so glad we stuck with the program...we are in much better shape...
I may be in the best shape if my life actually...but the greatest part for me is that my eyes are healing...  I look in the mirror less... Not more...because I am comfortable with myself!

I went to the dr for a checkup a few weeks ago... I have had some pretty uncomfortable flare ups with my fibromyalgia on the past months... She asked me if I exercise...I told her at least 5-6 days a week... And she affirmed me that it's the best thing for my fibro! I'm so glad the habit has been established!

Courtney is approaching a half marathon in November and averaging a 7 1/2 min pace...he craves less, and feels better.

!We both enjoy good food, and desert... Without the weekend binge:)

I am so glad all my excuses didn't hold up. I  so glad to find a community that supports one another as they discover their why and write their story...

I am so glad the hubs jumped on the bandwagon to support me!

I am so thankful to be helping others in their journey as well. 90 days does much more than get you "ripped".... If your only on it to look good you won't make it...
It's about the deeper need...the acceptance if where you are and where you want to be. The conquering of goals...the letting go of the negative...in a community of people all supporting one another...

90 days, 11.6 lbs, 16 inches later we are still going:) No excuses....this is just chapter one!
